Why don’t you make a simple icon for gold membership?
Assume that you are a gold membership on the site and you should have some differences between free members on the site. How to understand that free members (you are a gold membership on the site) ? Is it good or bad for you? So why don’t you have a gold membership icon on your profile?

Why don’t you make a reputation system for technical rate of their developments on the site?
Many forums using this system all over the world and we can take what opportunity is presented actually, right?
Assume that we have a reputation system on the site. Members can give some notes themselves (just like your vote system on script but this’s different). Members tout for votes on the site and when someone have reach the 1000 reputation, member have use the IM feature on the site. That can be very good for us actually. If someone has the highest reputation vote, he have use the free chat at the same time automatically. But all permission access must be provide by Administrator.
What are you think about that?
