Abledating 2.4—All-in-one dating & sommunity software

I would like to know if this software comes with an installer or if the files have to be copied over manually ex(ftp program)? And if it is manual, does it come with complete instructions on how to install the program?

I am very new to the programming and such and from what I read, people here seem to be quite helpful. I currently have another software that im quite displeased with. There are alot of options that I would like in a dating software that able seems to have most of. The program I have now is not easy at all to do any programs with extensions or anything thats not in the admin panel. Being pretty much a noob to editing code, How is this software programmed and how easy is it to edit and make custom? Thank you so very much for your answers to my questions in advance! Smile

the install ist very simple. Copy all folders with files to your webspace and enter the url to the install file.
Now you can install able dating step by step. Every step are explained so every child can make these install. Wink

Things you are need : DB user, passwort, DB Name and server (mostly "localhost").

As we all know these are tough times for most of us as far as earnings and making ends meet so before I make a large investment, I would like to know as much as I can about this software. Is there a manual with this software? If so, is there a place to download it or read it?

sorry, but i don't need a manual. So i don't had search them. The functions are self explaining.
You can use the demo admin access and can see the possible settings.

The only manual that i found ist these FAQ. Maybe it will help you.

But a admin manual sems to be in development.

If you really had a problem, the guys from able dating would help you in the most of cases very fast.

In the last 3 Months i had some problems with things what i can't solve.

After opening a ticket, the problem was mostly in max. 48 hours solved ( but i set the priority of the ticket to low or medium).

But i can understand you, 600 $ are much money.

My next question is I am not a programmer. I can muttle thru html but I dont know a thing about php or any of that gobbly. Is this software ready to go out of the box? Or does it require alot of programming to get it to work. I am not terribly concerned about design right now because I understand there are free templates to download? But the software itself, I would like to make sure that what im seeing in the demo is what I will be getting when I buy it. I had this problem with my last dating software company. The demo shows most of the things, several things were "crippled" to where I couldnt look at them, and find out it takes ALOT of programming just to have basic features like whos online and such. I really dont want to have these problems with this software. So please if you read this, feel free to give me your input.

first i don't be a programmer too. My knowlege is a littel HTML maybe a little css too.

The Soft run on php files which call from there templates.

The most of the the soft is open source so you can change what you want. Which parts you can't change can say better a team member of Abledating. I know you can't change the Flash chat module an a file for section start and section end.

You can put links in the template which calls functions out of abledating without making changes in php (in example your Homepage).

If you can't program php you can let make your wishes from a abledating programmer be real. You say how much $ you spend for this and when a developer likes the much of $ you will give him he makes it for you.

I try to lern php in the afternoon from books( o'reilly is a good source for this), is a long way but you can make the changes you want much cheaper Smile

Do you get all of the demo. I have get all these functions.
Which mean you can use them whithout any progging on the source Code.

The template Designs which are available when you bought it are 3 Designs.

Thank you ingo10 for all of your kind words of help! Yes thats my biggest worry is lack of support and ease of use of the software. I have been watching the forums here for a while and I dont see alot of new messages happening. Which I can see 2 different ways, either lack of support or the software is so well programmed that people do not need alot of help with it. I would guess the latter which makes me happy. I have also logged onto a few systems that run this software to just see how things go and some are very busy and some never have any people online. Of course I would like to see my site busy as im sure everyone would. Any other owners care to share some ideas about your system and whats working and not working for you?
