I used the contact us link and sent a message to myself to see if it works.
I never received the message. Where does it go?
is it sent by email? and to what email address? do I need to setup something in the contact.php page?
Please advise.

That goes to your control panel. In your CP there is a Contact link on the left side. Click that. Your mail is there
