I am planning on purchasing the ablespace application. But I need to give my visistors the options of viewing the site in english or spanish.

Is there anyone who can translate the website for me? If the application can be translated... how much would it cost me?

The software is already translated into Spanish! It is already in the package so you will not need to translate it by yourself.

We have now: Arabic, English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Lithuanian, Spanish, Turkish.

In any case the translation takes not more than 3 hours and is made in admin cp.

Ok, but I want english to be the default language, and spanish the 2nd language in which other people can view the site. Can I set up the site that way?

Sure you can set English as the default language. Your users will be able to change the language of the site in their profiles. Also you will be able to place a drop down menu on the homepage, so your users will be able to change the language of the site without logging in.

in every language you can define the translation of the user fields.

I can't speak spanish, but when in german language a field is called raucher. you can translate these field in english to smoker.
English ist off course the default language Wink

. But this was only a example.

You can translate in your spanish language every field you use.

Yes I know what you mean, I did. What I want to say is when a person change their selected language the site will be translate it but the user field will remain in only one language. So if you change mother for madre (English to Spanish) and now switch to English, the user field Mother will remain MADRE because it is only one value, am I right? Please help on this.

you can try this, that have helped me sometimes.

Enter AdminCp

Languages -> after your Language (i think spanish Wink

) you press edit.

On the follow Page you have left the Pages and when you click a link on the left, you can chage the translation there. But i think you know that. Wink

Click on the first point All on the left upper side.

Now go to the end of these page. There you see 5 clear rows and 2 columns.

In the left cell you enter mother in the right madre at the end you press edit .

If you have in future a word that wasn't translate, you had good chances to edit this on these way. Wink

You are right, it is like a trick but it works.
Next time 1 variable, multiples values (Language) such as Predefined Fields with 2 or more values.
